Atlantic Aviation Pittsburgh, PA (PIT) Supports Local Veterans

Atlantic Aviation in Pittsburgh, PA (PIT) teamed up with the Veterans Leadership Program for the second year in a row to support Stand Down Pittsburgh, a day-long services fair for local veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Our Customer Service Manager at Atlantic PIT, Jineen Rush, heads up these efforts each year. She holds this event very near and dear to her heart, as her son is currently serving our country as a Marine. With the help of many customers and employees, we were able to fill our table with many items these veterans need.
"We are so grateful for one of our based customers who helped us support Stand Down Pittsburgh. They provided over 200 hygiene kits, which included toothbrushes, razors, soap, toothpaste, combs, hats, and a few additional items," said Jineen. "We're thankful they stepped up to help fill our table with many items these veterans need."

The Atlantic PIT team also provided handwarmers, blankets, socks, and gloves to help everyone keep warm. “We received so many smiles and everyone was so thankful for the donations. It’s heartwarming to see smiles on the faces of those who have given so much throughout their lives for our country,” shared Jineen. The team was honored to serve at this event where hundreds of veterans were able to take hot showers, eat a hot meal, and get basic necessities that they otherwise may not have easy access to.
We are proud to have employees who take the initiative to give back to their communities and have a hand in the success of those in their community.
